鈴里高校書道部以「書法」為主題，改編自河合克敏創作的同名漫畫。 大江緣（池松壯亮飾演）是從加拿大回來的歸國學生。他於初中畢業後回國，併入讀位於鎌倉市郊區的私立鈴里高校。因為書道社員人數不足而困擾的前輩們抓住了他的弱點，讓沒有任何書法經驗的大江就此進入了都是女生的書道社。正當緣逐漸對書道產生興趣的時候，卻被捲入了同班同學兼柔道部精英──望月結希（朝倉亞紀飾演）和一名男同學的打架中，結果弄得右手手腕骨折。最後，望月結希被書道部的前輩威脅，以“代替寫不了字的緣”為理由，也作為臨時部員加入了書道部。這樣，由數名女孩組成的書道部重生了。 然而書道部的發展並不順利，他們面前還有很多挑戰。
