What began as a casual jam between 17 year old keyboardist Booker T. Jones, guitarist Steve Cropper, bassist Lewie Steinberg, and drummer Al Jackson Jr.while waiting for a Billy Lee Riley sessioncaught the ear of Stax president Jim Stewart.
