GB 1840 SG2 Pl.9 Penny Black strip of four with a small part York1840 1d Black Pl. 9. Very fine used horizontal strip of four lettered NG NJ, just cut into at foot of NG otherwise with large margins all round. Neatly tied to a clean cover from London to Wymondham, Norfolk by black MC's with a Lombard Street Maltese cross datestamp on reverse for FE. 11. 1841. Central filing fold well clear of adhesives, as to expected on such a large cover. A superb up to 2oz franking and a rare multiple for this plate. Spec. AS57.
