Tatami Mat with Polystyrene & Compressed Fiber Board Solar Maneki Neko Many of the 12 animalsThis tatami mat consists of the top goza reed mat attached to a polystyrene base. Traditionally the base (daiza) was made from rice straw but now increasingly polystyrene and compressed wood fiber is used instead. The edge comes in five options: plain green, plain black, patterned green, patterned brown or patterned blue. The ichi jo (1 tatami) mat is the building block for Japanese tatami styled rooms. The standard size is 176 cm x 88 cm.
