Its No. 4 in a series of six that illustrate the processes involved in making metal type. (By the way, its not lead type. Why do people say lead type? If type was just lead it would be smashed after one impression. Lead is soft. Printers type is an alloy of lead, tin, and antimony. Dont get us started.) Many years ago we got this poster dedicated to
