With its umbrella like form, the Drake makes for a great shade tree and can be planted with other elm's to create a nice canopy to frame an entrance or line a road. The Drake exhibits a fast growing rate and is hardy to 5 degrees (in Zones 6 9). It reaches a height of 35 to 45 feet and an equal spread.
