Each cartridge is headstamped P154 16, 1939, identifying manufacture by PolteWerk, KommanditGesellschaft, Magdeburg, one of Germanys most important and productive ammunition factories during the Second World War. Polte supplied vast quantities of rifle ammunition for use in iconic German
