Retainers Clarity™ SLHow long do you have to wear a retainer? Retainers are used to hold your teeth straight as a follow up after your treatment. They are important because they reduce the risk of teeth going crooked again. We recommend that they are worn for a minimum of one year, however, to achieve the best long terms results we do suggest that they are worn on a long term basis, as teeth can move throughout life. We will recommend the most appropriate type of retainer
